Challenge
Wayfinding had to be designed, manufactured and installed within a short timeline prior to occupancy in this luxury retirement community located to the extreme north of Edmonton. The multi-level residence is made up of 180 suites, with memory care units on every floor. A staged installation was also required.
Solution
Leveraging the existing design for All Seniors Care, we collaborated with the company’s designer to develop the “branding” for the entire community. We worked closely with the city’s fire department in order to meet their very specific requests without compromising the look. The transitional design made use of acrylic for a modern look with the softened lines of wood for added elegance. We also incorporated the use of raised letters for each of the 450 signs. And, despite the tight timelines, we were able to complete installation in 4 days.
