Challenge
All V!VA retirement residences are custom designed and unique in construction and decor. Accompanying signage must also be customized – for the building and for the various locations inside. V!VA’s philosophy is that locations are treated like destinations; therefore separate themes were required for each one. The overall theme was that of a Nantucket/Hamptons feel – a waterfront ambience on the shores of Lake Ontario.
Solution
Aroh developed separate themes for each of the locations within Whitby Shores, incorporating varying fonts, sizes, layouts and colours. The result? Residents and visitors readily identified the various destinations with signage of the same look and feel as that found in regular retail stores, health & wellness services, sports and entertainment facilities, as well as restaurants and pubs – all without leaving the residence!
